High Desert Imaging accepts most major insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid. We provide easy order processing and online bill payment for patients and convenient global billing for physicians and specialists who refer their patients.

Insurance plan coverage and authorizations:

Presently, HDI does not collect payment at the time of service for patients whose exam is covered by their insurance, however, every insurance plan has different co-pay, co-insurance, or deducible requirements you may be responsible for in addition to any unpaid portions of a services provided not covered by your health insurance.

Your insurance plan may require authorization from your referring medical physician prior to receiving HDI imaging services. Cigna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna and United Healthcare are some of the main health plans that require pre-authorizations. We recommend that you contact your insurance carrier for detailed coverage and authorization information or speak with an HDI Patient Scheduler/Coordinator for questions regarding authorizations, insurance plan coverage and service payment.

Self-payment options

If you do not have insurance or are not using your policy and are deciding to self-pay, the full amount of the exam will be do at the time of your appointment. We apply a 25% discount for services provided to self-pay customers. If you are unable to pay up-front the day of your appointment, we can arrange a payment plan option that is convenient for you.
